CanSkate is for skaters that are 5-15 years of age OR have completed the Pre-CanSkate program. This program builds on the fundamental movements of skating through an interactive group lesson format.
Skaters will progress at their own rate, though 6 stages of each Agility, Balance, and Control. The CanSkate program will prepare skaters for recreational skating, hockey, ringette, and/or figure skating.
All participants must be able to fall down, stand up, and move forward on ice unassisted. Coaches will not be permitted to give hands on assistance due to social distancing regulations.
Parents are encouraged to ensure skaters have gone to the washroom prior to the start of each lesson as washrooms will be unavailable for the fall season.
Note: PreCanSkate is not a prerequisite for CanSkate.
